Hero, the heroic Labrador Retriever.

This is Hero! Our family took him in on July 19th, 2025. Hero came all the way to the Bay Area from Oregon! In about a year, we will bring him back to Oregon so he can begin training to become a future assistance dog. We are volunteering for Dogs for Better Lives (DBL) as a puppy raiser. We take home an eight week old puppy, train and take care of it, and then return it back to the facility. Currently Hero is doing very well adjusting to our home, and loves to eat, chew, and most of all…SLEEP! I am so excited to begin this journey with a new family member. Welcome Hero!
